Dual color (DC) SRS imaging

The Mosaic team at Institut Fresnel (Sandro Heuke, Herve Rigneault and others) together with APE published a paper about DC- SRS imaging with a new, shot noise limited light source setup. It shows the capability for stimulated Raman histology as well as for background free imaging of deuterated samples. The work was done in collaboration with LightCore Technologies and the AP-HM hospital of Marseille. Check out the open access publication here Stay tuned for Photonics West in January to learn more.

ARPES news

November 18th, 2021

using Angle-Resolved Photo-Emission Spectroscopy (ARPES) with our light source (80 MHz, 6.5 eV energy, < 1 meV bandwidth), Gerd Schönhense et al. recently demonstrated a new method for enabling time-of-flight photoelectron momentum microscopy for high-repetition rate light sources. The novel technique is based on the use of a photoelectron bandpass pre-filter. This enables momentum microscopy with 4.2 meV energy resolutions and analyzed region-of-interest of < 800 nm.

Another day in the field for our product developer Matthias Baudisch. During Mittweidaer Lasertagung next week, he has the opportunity to present one of our recent innovations on Autocorrelation. Innovation Seminar 2021

Wenting has started her new journey in our sales team in Berlin. She finished her master study from University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin with emphasis on customer management. Thanks to Wenting´s capabilities and background, she is an excellent fit as sales manager. During the virtual Advanced Solid State Lasers (ASSL) conference, our colleague Mateusz Ibek will present our method for High-Dynamic Range Pulse-Contrast Measurements. The Ultrafast Optical Spectroscopy group (GUFOS) at Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena led by Prof. Giancarlo Soavi, presented encouraging results. Sebastian Klimmer, the author of the published paper at Nature Photonics, demonstrated second harmonic generation in 2D-materials to be used as all-optical switches which showed unprecedented speed and modulation depth of close to 100%.
