What are you up to at SPIE Europe? Curious to learn something new? 😉
April 10th, 2026On April 15th, EPFL will give a talk on “tailoring glass properties and microstructure with sub-100 femtosecond pulses”.
We think this is a really exciting topic and have been in direct exchange with EPFL.
If you’re at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, feel free to stop by we’d love to see you! 😍
Here are all the details:

📜 Sub-100 fs pulses are desirable for various applications in glass micromachining, and a multi-pass cell and an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) are two common methods for retrospective pulse compression. In this study, we compare these two methods and analyse their impact on waveguide writing in fused silica.
