Fourth Harmonic Generation

As part of our HarmoniXX product line, the HarmoniXX FHG – Fourth Harmonic Generation – is a frequency converter for quadrupling the frequency of ultra short-pulse lasers. As a result, the final frequency is four times of the frequency of the incoming laser beam.

User-friendly Design

The focus is on user-friendliness and a compact design. By featuring a quick exchange of optics, the HarmoniXX devices can be used for a wide pulse duration range, from femtoseconds (fs) to several picoseconds (ps). All units are optimized for highest conversion efficiency at various laser power levels. They also display minimum pulse broadening while maintaining good spatial beam profile.

Laser ARPES with FHG 3+1 for Deep UV 190 nm

Tunable deep-UV pulses from 190 nm – 215 nm / 6.5 – 5.77 eV are available with APE’s HarmoniXX FHG 3+1. It is ideally suited for ARPES (Angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy).

Creating an Artificial Sun for Solar Cell Calibration

A novel facility for the primary calibration of reference solar cells has been realized. The fs-laser setup equipped with HarmoniXX enables the calibration of World Photovoltaic Scale (WPVS) reference solar cells with an uncertainty of only 0.4% – a new world record.
