APE GmbH - Your Partner in Ultrafast
APE, Angewandte Physik & Elektronik GmbH, is a manufacturer of instruments for the measurement and manipulation of ultrafast laser pulses. The company was established by the three managing directors in 1992, and since 1998 it has been located in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen.
The company is one of the international market leaders in ultrafast laser technology. The product range varies from autocorrelators to spectrometers, from acousto-optical instruments to synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillators.
Today APE instruments are used worldwide in scientific institutions and research centers, the main field of operation being basic research in physics, chemistry, biology and medical science. In mostly all renowned institutes and universities APE´s high-tech instruments can be found.
A team of capable physicists, electronic engineers, software experts and technical designers develops from physical ideas user-oriented commercial instruments, which can also be used by non-physicists. These instruments are manufactured in the company’s own mechanical and optical production and sold worldwide - partly with the help of distributors.
