ScanDelay is a special drive that generates a defined linear shift of an optical component. Ideally it is used in autocorrelators and pump-probe-experiments. The low mass and frictionless design of the device allows for a wide delay range as well as for high resolution and fast scans. The scanning movement follows a control signal which is either produced by the control and driver unit or by an external source. An analog optical sensor is continously measuring the actual position which is transmitted as an electronic signal.
