The APE Levante IR OPO is a synchronously pumped OPO with a modelocked picosecond Nd:Vandate laser as a pump source. There is no jitter between the OPO pulses and the ones from the laser. Due to the use of a fixed frequency pump laser the system is cost effective and delivers high output power. If you are interested in a versatile narrow bandwidth light source with picosecond pulse length and high average power, you should opt for the Levante IR.
The system utilizes periodically poled crystals as gain medium. Wavelength tuning is achieved by temperature tuning of multiple gratings crystals. Wavelength ranges directly available from the Levante IR are: 1450 - 1920 nm signal and 2400 - 4000 nm idler. Combined with extracavity SHG, THG and difference frequency generation virtually every wavelength from 250 nm up to 16µm can be generated.
- Output power ~2W @ 76 MHz for 10W pump for Signal
- Narrow bandwidth e.g. typ. 0.6 nm @ 1600 nm
- Pulse length ~8ps
- Typical time bandwidth product < 1.5 x transform limited
